Treatment

After acupuncture people commonly find they have a calm, focused mental state, and many describe the effects of treatment as relaxing, revitalizing and energizing. It is a holistic therapy, where each individual receives a personally tailored treatment, which is why your first visit can take up to 1.5 hours.

Amount and Frequency of Treatments Needed

As every person is different it is difficult to estimate how many treatments a person will need, however, the general rule is that the longer you have had a problem, the longer it will take to heal. Acupuncture is not always a quick fix, it takes commitment from both sides, and the best results are found when the patient also takes positive steps to improve their health and well-being.

You can have acupuncture everyday if you want to (in China lots of people go for daily treatments), but usually people come once or twice a week. If you are having acupuncture for a longer period of time, it can be possible to have acupuncture less frequently as the problem improves. For some people, this means going from weekly treatments to fortnightly and then monthly
